Chennai (Tamil Nadu), June 26 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan informed that nine Delta Plus variant cases of coronavirus have been found in Tamil Nadu that they are regularly sending 1000 random samples for testing from April. Over 70% cases were Delta variant. Recently, National Institute of Epidemiology identified 6 cases of Delta Plus variant in another set of samples.
“We’re regularly sending almost 1000 random samples (from April). Over 70% cases were Delta variant. Delta Plus variant was found in 3 state samples. National Institute of Epidemiology identified 6 cases of Delta Plus variant (in another set of samples),” said Secretary J Radhakrishnan. (KP)
