But the country’s still seeing a surge in coronavirus cases due to the highly infectious Delta variant. Unlike his predecessor who applied strict measures and lockdowns, newly installed Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is taking a ‘soft suppression’ approach by essentially asking Israelis to learn to live with the virus.
