POCO India Continues Meteoric Rise, Outpaces Rivals with 72.2% YoY Growth in Q1 2024

In yet another testament to its meteoric ascent in the smartphone industry, POCO India has once again seized the spotlight by achieving an extraordinary year-on-year growth of 72.2-percent in the first quarter of 2024. Surpassing OnePlus, a formidable competitor, POCO’s stellar performance underscores its unwavering commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

According to the latest IDC report, POCO India has surged ahead with a 5.9-percent market share, eclipsing OnePlus in terms of smartphone shipments during Q1 2024. This remarkable feat solidifies POCO’s position as a force to be reckoned with in the Indian smartphone market.

The IDC report not only sheds light on POCO’s impressive growth trajectory but also elevates the brand to the sixth position among the top Android smartphone brands in India. This surge in rankings reflects the resonance of POCO’s strategy, which targets the dynamic Gen Z demographic while offering a diverse portfolio of high-performance smartphones.

Mr. Himanshu Tandon, the Country Head of POCO India, expressed his elation at the outstanding growth figures, emphasizing POCO’s relentless pursuit of innovation and consumer-centric approach. “POCO’s remarkable progress is a clear reflection of our unwavering dedication to innovation and our deep understanding of our consumers’ needs,” he remarked. “As we move forward, we are more determined than ever to maintain this momentum and set new benchmarks in the industry.”

POCO’s recent launches, notably the POCO X6 series and POCO C61, have resonated strongly with consumers, thanks to their exceptional value proposition and performance. Moreover, POCO India’s strategic marketing initiatives have forged a robust connection with the Gen Z audience, further bolstering its market presence.

Strategic partnerships, including collaborations with the popular reality show BIGG BOSS and the renowned food chain Taco Bell, have significantly amplified POCO’s visibility and fostered a loyal fan base. These initiatives have not only enhanced brand recognition but also contributed to POCO’s continued dominance in the Indian smartphone market.

With such an impressive growth trajectory and a slew of successful launches under its belt, POCO India is poised to maintain its upward trajectory and redefine the benchmarks for excellence in the smartphone industry. As Mr. Tandon aptly puts it, “We owe this milestone to the massive support and love that we have received from our POCO family. We believe that 2024 holds great promise for us.”
