PARIVISION post two wins at Fissure Playground Belgrade

PARIVISION cruised to two wins on Friday to stay alive at the $1 million Fissure Playground Belgrade in Serbia.

PARIVISION first got past HEROIC 2-0 in a lower-bracket first-round match before downing BetBoom Team 2-0 in the lower-bracket quarterfinals.

In the day’s other match, Talon Esports came back for a 2-1 win over Team Liquid in the lower-bracket first round.

The Dota tournament began on Jan. 24 with 16 teams competing in the group stage. The top eight teams moved on to the double-elimination playoffs. All playoff matches are best-of-three except for the grand final on Sunday, which will be best-of-five. The championship team will earn $400,000.

On Friday, PARIVISION beat HEROIC in 34 minutes on green and 28 minutes on red. Russia’s Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov paced PARIVISION with an average 7.5/0.0/5.5 kill-death-assist ratio. Brazil’s Joao Gabriel “4nalog” Giannini Santos wound up at 2.0/3.5/1.0 for HEROIC.

PARIVISION then ousted BetBoom Team in 45 minutes on red and 51 minutes on green behind Satanic’s 8.5/3.5/8.5. Russia’s Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko starred for BetBoom Team at 11.5/5.5/8.5.

Team Liquid opened with a 43-minute win on red, but Talon Esports responded with a 35-minute victory on green and a 38-minute triumph on red. The Philippines’ John “Natsumi-” Vargas led Talon at 10.0/2.3/15.7. Sweden’s Michael “miCKe” Vu topped Team Liquid at 8.7/4.0/4.3.

Three matches are scheduled for Saturday:

–Upper-bracket final: Tundra Esports vs. Team Falcons

–Lower-bracket quarterfinal: Team Spirit vs. Talon Esports

–Lower-bracket semifinal: PARIVISION vs. Team Spirit/Talon Esports winner
