PARIVISION and BetBoom Team swept opening-round matches in the BLAST Slam II playoffs on Wednesday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The $1 million Dota 2 event began last week with two groups of five teams. A round robin of best-of-one matches in each group determined seeding for the playoff stage.

PARIVISION routed Talon Esports 2-0 to advance to a second-round match against Team Liquid.

BetBoom Team trounced Xtreme Gaming 2-0, earning a second-round meeting with Team Falcons.

The Liquid-PARIVISION victor on Thursday will advance to a Friday quarterfinal against Nigma Galaxy. The winner of that Friday match will oppose Tundra Esports in the semifinals on Saturday.

BetBoom Team and Team Falcons will clash on Thursday for the right to face Yakult Brothers on Friday. The squad that emerges from that quarterfinal will clash with Gaimin Gladiators in a Saturday semifinal.

On Wednesday, PARIVISION got past Talon Esports in 24 minutes and 40 minutes, both on green. Russia’s Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov paced PARIVISION with an average 8.0/2.5/7.5 kill-death-assist ratio. Indonesia’s Rafli “Mikoto” Fathur Rahman wound up at 4.0/2.5/9.0 for Talon Esports.

BetBoom Team toppled Xtreme Gaming in 41 minutes on green and 29 minutes on red. Russia’s Danil “gpk” Skutin led BetBoom Team with an 11.5/1.0/9.0 K-D-A ratio. China’s Guo “Xm” Hongcheng finished at 3.0/5.0/6.0 for Xtreme Gaming.
