Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend and “Creative Muse” Is Creating Mayhem Instead

There are two schools of thought when navigating the waters of a very public, national controversy.

With one strategy, you could elect to lay low and just go away for a little while. On the other side, you could continue to just post your way through it.

Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, decided to take the second path.

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably seen that Hudson was unhappy with a CBS interview that was supposed to hype Belichick’s book. In the interview, CBS News journalist Tony Dokoupil asked a fair question about how the legendary football coach met his much younger girlfriend, who was described in the book’s foreword as being his “creative muse.”

Hudson took exception to that question in a viral clip that took the internet by storm.

It was initially shocking to some that the moment even made the final cut. These interviews are typically puff pieces. It’s not exactly “60 Minutes.” However, according to TMZ, Hudson was a consistent problem during the taping of the interview, which was delayed a half-hour because she threw a tantrum and left the room. Now that would be some juicy footage.

But what’s the issue with that question? As the story was originally told, Hudson, 24, was studying philosophy during a flight in which she had been seated next to the Super Bowl champion coach. He signed her textbook, and the rest was history. At least, that’s what we thought initially.

Over the last several days, social media commentators, podcasters and talk show hosts have all questioned Hudson’s involvement in Belichick’s life. How did they actually meet? Is there something nefarious going on here?

According to the New York Post, people close to Belichick fear that she has inserted herself into every aspect of his life and career. According to that article, people closest to Belichick refer to the relationship as “alarming” and say Hudson is “a runaway train.”

Hudson isn’t stopping the headlines, though. On Tuesday, she posted a screenshot on Instagram of an email from Belichick about the promotion of his book and how the publicity tour is being perceived.

Sharing this private email from a clearly upset Belichick seems to be crossing the line—if he even wrote the email himself. Some are speculating Hudson may have typed it up herself. Hilariously, she put Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” on the post.

Nobody made her post a public email. Nobody made her stop a puff piece interview. What is actually going on here?

Since making the flip to college football, Belichick has been much more active on social media. But after these recent days, some folks are wondering if this is even him posting. Does he even know that images of them together are out there? Is he even privy to how any of this works?

The 73-year-old is set to release his book in May, The Art of Winning: Lessons From My Life in Football. Of course, this book will be released just months before Belichick is set to take over as head coach at North Carolina, where Hudson has been spotted on the practice field.

Hopefully, Belichick’s relationship is sorted out by then—at least publicly. It feels like every couple of hours this story finds a way to get even crazier. It’s a bit ironic, and somewhat concerning.

The man made famous for being a master at controlling young people is having a very difficult time managing the one who appears closest to him—and both of their reputations are suffering.
