As the water shortage in Jackson, Mississippi becomes more dire, several prominent figures have spoken out in hopes of getting aid for the state — including one very well-known football coach.

Jackson State football coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders took to social media on Tuesday to say how the current water crisis has impacted his football team, as well as the greater Jackson area.

“We’ve been hit with a little crisis in the city of Jackson,” Sanders said in the video posted to Instagram. ” We don’t have water; water means we don’t have air conditioning. We can’t use toilets. We don’t have water, therefore we don’t have ice, which pretty much places a burden on the program. So right now we’re operating in crisis mode.”
