EgyptAir country manager Amr Aly said: “Since the launch of the direct flight last year, we have witnessed a notable increase in travel, business, and cultural exchanges between Egypt and India.This move to daily flights is set to further augment these ties.”
The Cairo-Delhi route is operated by the airline’s Airbus A320neo aircraft. Regarding India operations, the statement said that “milestone comes on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Egypt last year, which further strengthened the ties between the two nations. Shortly after his visit, EgyptAir inaugurated its first direct flight from Cairo to New Delhi, marking a significant step in bolstering travel and cultural exchange,” the airline said in a statement.
