FC Dallas signed Argentinian winger Alan Velasco to a long-term contract extension on Thursday.

The four-year Young Designated Player deal starts in 2025 and includes a one-year club option.

Velasco, 22, has recorded 12 goals and 13 assists in 62 MLS matches (55 starts) since his Dallas debut in 2022.

He missed most of the 2024 season recovering from a knee injury sustained in the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Velasco obtained a U.S. green card in March and will not occupy an international slot on the roster.
