Team Liquid, FlyQuest unblemished in North 2025 Split 2 group phase

Team Liquid and FlyQuest remained unbeaten and atop their group phase standings on Saturday in the LTA North 2025 Split 2 of the League of Legends tournament in Los Angeles.

Group A leader FlyQuest (2-0) held off Shopify Rebellion (0-2), winning in 31 minutes on blue, dropping the second game and going 31 minutes on blue to secure the victory.

Group B leader Team Liquid (2-0) had less of an issue with Disguised (0-2), winning in 37 minutes on blue and 27 minutes on red.

On Sunday, Cloud9 (1-0) battle LYON (0-1) in Group A, and 100 Thieves (0-1) play Dignitas (1-0) in Group B.

Eight teams competed in positioning play — a round-robin format in which each team plays the other seven once. Each match was one map and the results determined Groups A and B for the group phase, which began April 26 and runs through May 18.

Following group play and one week of cross-group battles, the top six teams will advance to the best-of-five, double-elimination playoffs on May 24-June 15.

The total prize pool is $160,000, with $80,000 going to the winner and $40,000 to the runner-up. The winner also receives entry into the Mid-Season Invitational and the winner and runner-up qualify for the Esports World Cup.
