Despite this past season’s earlier-than-expected playoff exit, the Philadelphia 76ers were expected to run it back in 2022-23 with the duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden leading the charge. Even when Harden declined his player option for the upcoming season, it still seemed inevitable that the 32-year-old former MVP would find his way back to Philly. On Wednesday, Harden and the Sixers made it official, agreeing to a two-year, $68.6 million deal. The deal was tantamount to a pay cut for Harden, who acknowledged that he only has one goal moving forward when it comes to his career. “This is how bad I want to win. I want to compete for a championship. That’s all that matters to me at this stage. I’m willing to take less to put us in position to accomplish that.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Harden may not be the prolific scorer he was a few seasons back, but he’s still one of the most gifted passers in the Association. His 922 career assists in the postseason already put him in the top 20, and assuming that the Sixers keep reaching the postseason, he’ll likely retire well in the top 10. So with that all in mind, how many of the NBA players with the most career assists in the postseason can you name in five minutes?
