India registered a massive 434-run victory over England in the third Test of the five-match series on Sunday. This was India’s biggest win in Test cricket in terms of runs. The hosts posted a whopping target of 557 runs on Day 4 before bundling out England for 122. Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was the main architect of India’s victory as he smashed his consecutive double century and propelled India to a huge total. Jaiswal remained unbeaten at 214 off 236 balls, which included 14 boundaries and 12 sixes.
The 22-year-old batter has been receiving numerous praises from all over the world for his magnificent knock. However, skipper Rohit Sharma refrained himself for praising him.
“I’ve spoken a lot about him. I’m sure people outside the changing room have also been talking about him. I want to be calm about him, not talk a lot about him. He’s started his career on a high,” said Rohit during the post-match press conference.
